our new favorite dessert.



The other night for dinner, I made buttermilk biscuits. Zac put honey on his, and that's where it all started. I made them for dinner, but I think they're our new favorite dessert, because they're so sweet and flaky! I feel like a pioneer in the olden days, eating biscuits for dessert. Soon I'll be eating a bowl of flour and water. (Just kidding.)

  1. Hey meg! we stayed in Newport for a bit of our honeymoon too, crazy world! but we stayed at the Ramada Inn in Costa Mesa. It's about 1.5 miles from the beach and close to restaurants. We stayed for 3 nights and in total (after taxes and whatnot) it cost us a little less than $70 a night. Which isn't too bad compared to the rest of the area!

  2. I highly recommend trying some homemade "jam" on those biscuits to make an even tastier dessert! You can totally skip the additional sugar & pectin - just blend up a pack of strawberries...you will not regret it ;)

    Psst...also makes a great ice cream topping..!

  3. Try them for dinner - put brown gravy on them; or breakfast with sausage gravy. (My favorite)
