girls night.

A few nights ago, I invited Erica and Emily over for a much needed Girls' Night, since we haven't been together since last Spring! After reminiscing about our high school days for a while, we went over to Rubio's and got some burritos and nachos for dinner, and had some froyo for dessert at Yogurtland, where I tried those little pop things (pictured above). I think I'll get just those on my frozen yogurt from now on. I loved them! And I loved the company! REAL LIVE ADULTS, GUYS!!!

a tribute post to the best waiter ever.

Last night, Erica, Rachel, and I went to Joe Vera's Mexican Fiestaurant in honor of our semi-semesterly girls night! We sat in the same old booth as we always do, and ate some good chops and salsa, and talked about awesome things.

What you don't know about the three of us when we're together is that we [apparently] like to make people feel uncomfortable. So when our waiter, Andy, introduced himself, our minds were already thinking of something awesome to do.

We decided that Rachel should awkwardly flirt with him, and so it was. Eventually, Andy came out in a Mexican sombrero and took pictures with us, because we are so cunning. I am convinced he had a crush on one of us (why else would he come out looking like that?). Now I'm trying to decide which one it was.

It's always a blast spending time with these two ladies. I am a lucky woman to have such good and crazy friends.

Oh, and I rode a deer...

pictures of me and em.

Remember Christmas last year? That's the day Zac got me a few filters for my camera. Well, those filters sat in my camera bag for weeks. I had the best intention of getting them out, slapping them on my camera lens, and romping around town taking pictures of everything, but I didn't. Until now! Well, a few days ago.

On Tuesday, Emily and I met halfway between our houses, and took some pictures in the historical part of Lehi. Emily wanted to find some sort of field, but we found a closed-down Ream's store by chance.

It was a good day. Cloudy, windy, and cool. Plus, I was wearing my new yellow pants. What's better than that?

For some reason, Emily and I decided a long ago that serious faces looked cooler than posed smiles.

mexican fiestaurant.

a couple of weeks ago, i met up with my old roommates, erica and rachel, and had some mexican food at joe vera's mexican fiestaurant (make sure you have your speakers turned up on this one). when we were living with each other last year in orem, we discovered this place while driving down center street in provo, on our way to our secret spot. we thought the name was clever, and so we planned to go out to eat. since then, we have made a tradition of it, and always eat there during midterms and finals week. i think it may just be my favorite mexican restaurant. they give you delicious homemade salsa with hot tortilla chips, and quite a lot of food. i recommend the chicken chimichanga. but, then again, that's the only thing i've ordered so far.

but back to the story... that night a few weeks ago, erica, rachel and i sat at the same booth we sat at the time before (when the waiter spilled water all over me, and i laughed my head off). we talked a little, but mostly ate "chops and salsa!" (we're weird. very, very weird.) oh, and rachel and erica dipped their chips in salsa, and then ranch. i thought it looked gross. we were obnoxious to our waiter, which is to be expected. but we tip good!

at the end though, (this is where it gets good--at least i think so) we (rachel), like always, wrote our waiter a very heart felt note. it says, "dearest tim, you make my heart pitter patter like a big red drum. DON'T FORGET I PAID!!!! the food was divine! my uno tostada was the stuff dreams are made of! chops & salsa. i give a 2 thumbs up! oh brian, i love you!!! love always, the best gods of the underworld, bernadette, themlord, lancelot."

and then erica drew faces on chili peppers, and named them after us. it's always a riot hanging out with these two.
